MEMBERSHIP POLICIES
SIGN-IN POLICY:
All members must sign-in to Wodify at the kiosk or on the mobile app prior to their scheduled class. 

LATE POLICY:
If a member is late to class, they will need to check-in with the trainer on duty to determine if they will be able to attend class. We typically will extend a 5-10 minute grace period, as long as the class is still in the middle of the warm-up, but ultimately it is at the Trainer’s discretion and safety assessment. 

The individual may also be asked to sit out of the skill or strength portion if they are late. This policy is meant to ensure that classes run on schedule and in a safe manner. 

We value your safety, as well as our members and trainers time, and we ask that all of our members respect this policy and make every effort to arrive on time, if not early for class. 

Additionally, if a member is consistently late to class and it appears they are abusing the late policy, the member will be asked to attend the next available class of the day. 

MEMBERSHIP PLAN - AUTOMATIC RENEWAL: 
Membership fees are automatically billed monthly using automatic payment [credit card, debit card or checking account]. Memberships will automatically renew each month at the same payment terms and billing date established at the time of enrollment and included in the membership contract sent via email to members.  

CANCELING A MONTH-TO-MONTH MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT:
Month-to-Month memberships can be canceled at any time, however, we require a minimum of 5 days notice before the next billing date. There will be no refund issued once a payment has been charged to the payment method on file. NO EXCEPTIONS.

CANCELING A 3, 6 OR 12 MONTH MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT:
These membership plans are discounted as a result of the member committing to a longer term [3-12 months]. These memberships require a minimum of 30 days notice prior to next billing date. Cancelation requests submitted within 30 days of the billing date will result in a final payment drawn from the payment method on file. Once final payment has been drawn from the account, members will have 30 days from the last billing date to use the facility. 

It is the members responsibility to provide written notice 30 days in advance. There will be no refund issued once a payment has been charged to the payment method on file. 

If a member cancels their membership before the have fulfilled their agreement [aka "breaking a contract"], they will NOT be allowed to return to our facility in the future. We believe that fitness is a commitment that must be prioritized, above all else and it is our responsibility to hold members to it even with obstacles of life, which is why we uphold this policy.

MEMBERSHIP UPGRADES & DOWNGRADES:
All members are welcome to upgrade [Limited > Unlimited] or downgrade [Unlimited > Limited] their membership plans without penalty. Memberships can be upgraded at the start of the next billing cycle or immediately. If a member wishes to upgrade immediately their new membership plan will be prorated based on the number of days remaining in their current billing cycle at their new rate. At the start of the next monthly billing cycle, they will be charged at their full membership rate. 
If a member wishes to downgrade their membership, they must wait until their next monthly billing date for the new plan to be effective. No refunds or credits will be given for unused classes.

MEMBERSHIP HOLDS: 
Members may put their membership on hold, for a period no less than thirty (30) days [or one calendar month], and for up to ninety (90) days [three calendar months] per calendar year. Notice of hold must be given via written email notification prior to the first day of the requested hold and will not be issued retroactively. 

Holds cannot be issued for personal travel under 3 weeks. 

All payments drawn prior to the requested hold will not be refunded. Members will not be billed while membership is on hold, and billing will resume automatically upon end of the hold period. 

All members with a 3, 6 or 12 month agreement will have memberships extended by the number of months they are on hold. 

Holds longer than ninety (90) days may be issued for members of the military with advanced notification. If a member chooses to cancel membership during the hold period, written notification must be issued within 5 days prior to the end of the hold period for month-to-month memberships OR 30 days prior to the end of the hold period for long term agreements [3, 6 or 12 months] otherwise clients will be charged a final month of membership upon hold release. 

MEMBERSHIP RATE INCREASES:
CrossFit Spencer will never increase your rate without notice. If a rate increase does occur, we will give you at least 7 days notice via [one of] email/voicemail/text with the most up to date information on file. If we do not receive any cancellation notice before your next billing date, we will assume the rate increase has been approved and we will continue at that rate until further notice with no cease in services. 

REFUNDS:
CrossFit Spencer will not provide refunds for ANY membership cancelation requests.

CrossFit Spencer does not issue refunds if you do not use your membership, nor can you carry over sessions to the next month if you missed a class. OR if you forgot to cancel your membership before your payment was charged. No exceptions. 

KIDS POLICY:
CrossFit Spencer prides itself on being a kid-friendly gym. But in the interest of keeping everyone as safe and focused on their fitness as possible, we ask that you adhere to these policies regarding children. 

All children need to be able to sit unattended at the front of the gym or in the lobby area. If they require supervision, please have a responsible adult in attendance to supervise them. 

Children are not allowed on the equipment at any time and must be off the gym floor during classes. Understand that if you are not supervising them, NO ONE IS.

We do not offer, advertise or imply in any way that there is childcare at the gym. There is not…

While we sympathize with your logistical issues, please understand that our foremost concern is the safety of YOUR CHILDREN. And a world-class [distraction-free] experience for ALL of our members. 

DOG POLICY:
Dogs [and other furry friends] are not allowed in the gym AT ANY TIME.

SAFETY:
We reserve the right to scale or stop a member’s training session at any time, if it is deemed unsafe. Keeping members safe and minimizing injury is KEY in protecting the reputation of the CrossFit brand and our gym. 

TERMINATION OF ACTIVE MEMBER:
CrossFit Spencer and CrossFit Okoboji reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for ANY reason. We reserve the right to cancel a member’s membership, at any time, for any reason. If a membership is terminated by us, we will refund the balance or remainder of any prepaid, unused membership.
