What is an On-Ramp Program? 
Our On-Ramp Program is our four week class that teaches the foundational movements of CrossFit, plus other movements that are frequently used during our daily workouts. Our On-Ramp program will prepare you to enter the CrossFit classes knowing that you can confidently carry out the movements safely and efficiently. 
How long does it last? What time is class?
Our four week On-Ramp program meets three times per week - Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays. Classes are scheduled for 7:00pm and last an hour or so... 
Our next On-Ramp starts Thursday, November 2nd, 2017 [Enrollment Night]. Our final night [Graduation Night] is on Thursday, November 30th. Obviously, there will be no class on Thanksgiving. :) 
How much does it cost? What's included?
The total cost for the On-Ramp program is $100 per participant and includes a CrossFit Spencer t-shirt plus all of the things listed above. 

Total cost of $85/person if you sign-up with a friend.
Total cost of $75/person if you sign-up with two friends.

What if I miss an On-Ramp class? 
Chances are good that if you only miss one class, we’ll be able to catch you up, so that you can begin CrossFit classes, as planned. However, if you will miss more than one class during the On-Ramp, you'll need to make-up those classes another time prior to Graduation Night. Please discuss this with our trainers ahead of time and we'll do our best to work with you. 
What if I'm not ready to graduate from the On-Ramp program? 
CrossFit Spencer is committed to a non-intimidating training environment. We want all of our members feeling both comfortable within our training environment and confident with their new skills before they make the transition to CrossFit classes. If you still don’t feel as though you’re ready to transition to our CrossFit classes after completing your On-Ramp, we’re here to help. Speak to your trainers about your options for re-enrolling in another round of On-Ramp. 
After completing the On-Ramp program, what's next?
Once you have successfully completed your four week On-Ramp program, you'll be automatically enrolled as a CrossFit Spencer member with a Limited Membership [12x per month] for the following month. With this seamless transition, you'll be able to start CrossFit classes immediately. With our memberships, there are no long-term contracts. Cancel anytime. On the other hand, if you decide that CrossFit is not for you - just let us know that you'd like to cancel the auto enroll at least 5 days prior to the end of the On-Ramp program. No hard feelings. No questions asked.
I am new to working out... Do I need to be "in shape" before starting the On-Ramp program? 
Whether you’re brand new to fitness, following-through on a New Year’s Resolution, got off track and looking to get back on or you're an elite athlete striving to take your training to the next level - CrossFit Spencer's On-Ramp program will further your understanding of functional fitness and will give you a solid foundation to help you achieve your athletic performance and/or fitness goals. 
I've heard CrossFit is dangerous. Is this true?
The more people are educated about their bodies and how to do movements correctly, the less chance of injuries. Throwing a new person into a CrossFit class without knowing the movements can cause problems for everyone. This is exactly why our On-Ramp program and our CrossFit classes are led by knowledgable CrossFit trainers. We'll begin with a focus on mechanics, followed by consistency and finally, intensity to ensure movements are performed properly and efficiently to avoid injury. 
What if I have restrictions or prior injuries? 
EVERYTHING can be modified... We can't stress this enough! Each body is different and our On-Ramp will help our trainers get to know you and your physical restrictions. Our On-Ramp helps trainers learn about each person individually and how they can modify movements to fit each person's individual needs.
I want to lose _____ pounds. Is that possible with CrossFit?  
Absolutely! While getting to the gym is important for reaching your weight loss goals, 80% of your results will actually depend on your nutrition. This is why our On-Ramp program has a strong emphasis on nutrition. We'll provide you with nutritional and supplementation guidance to help you fuel your CrossFit workouts and reach your goals.
The thought of doing CrossFit scares the crap out of me... I am so intimidated/nervous!

Don't be intimidated... Our On-Ramp consists of only new people [all beginners] with our trainers as your guide. You'll be introduced to the rules of the "box" [CrossFit lingo for "gym"] and you'll learn how we operate. By the end of your On-Ramp, you'll have a good understanding of CrossFit, the supportive community that is CrossFit Spencer and how you fit into our CrossFit "family."

"Couch to CrossFit" is designed for ANYONE and EVERYONE. Do not expect grueling, long workouts or heavy weights being lifted. In fact, this program requires minimal equipment and no gym membership. 

"Couch to CrossFit" is for the absolute beginner or anyone who is interested in CrossFit, but intimidated or scared of joining the gym.
